Does detailing cost more for an SUV or a truck?

Yes. Every package is priced in three tiers by vehicle size, and the step is $25 to $50 per tier on most services. A full detail is $320 for a sedan, $370 for an SUV and $420 for a truck. Interior detail runs $250, $275 and $300; wash, clay and seal $145, $165 and $185; exterior detail $140, $150 and $180. Ceramic coating is $750 for a coupe, $800 for a sedan and $850 for an SUV or truck. Single-step paint correction is $400 for a coupe, $450 for a sedan and $500 for an SUV or truck, and two-step correction is $550, $600 and $650.

The tier reflects surface and time, not a premium for owning a bigger vehicle. A three-row SUV has roughly twice the carpet, seating and glass of a compact sedan, a crew-cab truck has a bed, larger wheel wells and more panel area to polish, and both take more product. Condition matters as much as size. A heavily soiled interior or heavily swirled paint is quoted before we start rather than adjusted afterwards, so the number you agree to is the number you pay.
