Car Detailing Pricing FAQ

How much does a full car detail cost in Baton Rouge?
A full car detail in Baton Rouge costs $320 for a sedan, $370 for an SUV and $420 for a truck at Immaculate Detailing of BR. That covers interior and exterior in one visit: pre-soak and foam wash, wheels and rims, tire dressing, hand dry, full vacuum and wipe down, leather conditioning, windows inside and out, and seats and carpet deep cleaned. Most full details take four to six hours. The final price depends on the size and condition of the vehicle, and we confirm it with you before any work starts.
Why do prices vary by vehicle size?
Larger vehicles cost more because they take more time and more product. A truck or large SUV carries substantially more glass, carpet, upholstery and painted surface than a sedan, so every stage of the detail takes longer. That is why each service is priced in three tiers: sedan, SUV and truck. Condition matters just as much as size. Heavy pet hair, sand, spilled drinks or an interior that has gone a few years without attention all add labour, and we will tell you before we start if a vehicle needs more than its standard tier.
Is ceramic coating worth the cost?
Ceramic coating is worth it if you keep your vehicle more than about two years and park it outside, which describes most drivers in Baton Rouge. Coating starts at $750 for a sedan, $800 for an SUV and $850 for a truck, and the graphene coating we apply is rated for three years or more. The case is stronger here than in a mild climate. Louisiana sun, summer humidity, pollen, love bugs and acidic bird droppings all attack unprotected clear coat, and a coating makes that contamination far easier to rinse off before it bonds and etches. It is not armour. It will not stop rock chips or door dings, and it does not make paint scratch proof.
Do you charge extra for mobile service?
No. There is no travel fee inside our standard service area, which covers Baton Rouge, Central, Denham Springs, Gonzales, Port Allen and Prairieville. You pay the same price you would pay dropping the car at a shop, and we come to your home, office or apartment instead. We bring our own water and power, so you do not need to provide anything. Jobs under $200 may carry a travel fee based on mileage from the East Baton Rouge area, and we tell you the amount before you book.
How often should I get my car detailed?
Most vehicles do best with a full detail every three to six months, with a maintenance wash in between. Daily drivers that live outside, vehicles carrying kids or pets, and work trucks belong at the three month end. Garage kept and low mileage vehicles can comfortably stretch to six months. Interior neglect is usually what forces a bigger bill later: once dirt has been ground into carpet fibres and the sun has dried out the dashboard and leather, restoring it costs considerably more than maintaining it would have.
